TRAVEL:  I don’t know about you, but I’m definitely getting an itch to go somewhere.  Sometimes you just need a change of scenery and a staycation won’t cut it.  I was supposed to go to Cartenga, Colombia with a friend next month, but I just couldn’t swing it at the last minute.  Now, I’m thinking about going down to the Florida panhandle (Destin, Rosemary Beach).  Have any of you guys been?  I’m open to suggestions as long as it is relaxing and not crazy expensive.

FASHION:
I’m not ready for summer to end, but I’m loving everything fall right now.  Have you seen J. Crew’s new arrivals?  They are too good.  I love this going-out top, these pants (might be my new go-to pants!), and this ruffle sleeve sweater.  See all of my favorites below.

LISTEN/READ:  I think I mentioned this book before and I just finished the sequel.  Have you ever read a book and couldn’t wait for the next one in the series to come out?  That is how I felt after both of these books.  They are about a woman who thought she buried her fiancé on what was supposed to be her wedding day until a stranger tells her that her fiance isn’t dead.  She then tries to figure out what happened to him.  Total page turner!

On the podcast front, I recently discovered Malcolm Gladwell’s “Revisionist History”.  If you liked Outliers and untold stories, I think you might like it.  Also, since I know a lot of us have side hustles, Lewis Howes dives into the 4 different personality types of entrepreneurs in this episode of his School of Greatness podcast.  It is very interesting and definitely helped me understand my strengths and weaknesses a bit more.

BLOG LOVE:
Now that I’m in my mid-thirties, I’m finally realizing the importance of a skincare routine (better late than never).  I’m trying to learn what works for others and experiment to find what works for me.  So far, I’ve found Damsel in Dior’s great video on her morning routine, Rachelle’s post about removing dark spots, and The Stripe’s roundup of the best face masks helpful as I start this skincare journey!  Have you found any other great resources?

Here are two other interesting posts from the past 2 months: Amy Ann also wrote a great post on creating stylish outfits.  Her post is focused on moms, but still has some great tips!  Also, I love how real Alissa’s writing is and her post on building confidence at work is spot on and has some great tips!

MISC:
Earlier this month, I talked about the importance of cutting yourself some slack when things get crazy.  I guess I wasn’t the only one feeling burned out.  This article has some great tips on how to prevent and deal with burnout.

Thanks for reading and have a great weekend!  I’m laying low, but hope you have fun plans!
