Christmas Outfit

Can you believe Christmas is only a few days away?!  My brother gets into town tonight so I’m looking forward to a lot of family time and a little relaxation.  I’m also going to Mexico next week for New Year’s so I’m sure there will be some running around trying to find a few pieces for the beach.

My family is pretty low key about Christmas now, but when we were younger my dad took his job as Santa very seriously.  He would buy fake snow and leave a trail from the fireplace to the Christmas tree, on top of our presents, and of course by the cookies we left out for Santa.  I think it was his goal to see how long he could keep us believing in Santa (which was a lot longer than I care to admit, lol!).  Even though he went through elaborate efforts, my favorite memories are still sitting around the Christmas tree on Christmas morning laughing and hanging out with my family long after the presents were opened.
