The Perfect Little Black Dress

I hope you had a great weekend!  We had my company holiday party on Friday, so I spent the rest of the weekend laying low and trying to knock a few gifts off list.  I’m still struggling with a few gifts for work friends, so any suggestions are always welcome!

If you’ve been reading my blog for a while, you probably know that I’m not a big dress person.  I just feel more comfortable (and confident to be honest) in pants.  And I definitely don’t think I’ve ever bought two versions of the same dress (shoes, maybe, lol!).  When I first saw this dress at Banana Republic, I actually picked up the red sleeveless version (last seen here) first and once I found the right size (it runs huge), I knew that I needed it in a few other colors.

I’m not kidding when I say this is the perfect little black dress as it is simple and the perfect canvas to dress up for a night out or down for the office.  The fact this is a black dress with long sleeves and pockets sold me.  The one drawback is that it needs a belt to give it some shape, but considering it is on sale for almost $50 (if you find a code), that is a small price to pay.

Of course, I had to pair this black dress with pink heels for a little pop of color.
