I hope your week is going well!  As spring and summer get closer, I find myself incorporating navy instead of black into some of my spring and summer work outfits (and also casual outfits).  There is just something about navy that is a little softer than black.  I also just realized it is a little nautical inspired when paired with all white.  Maybe it is my brain subconsciously telling me I need a vacation, lol!  Anyway, I’ve had this J. Crew double breasted navy blue blazer for a few years and it is such a great piece for work and play.  When I first got it, I didn’t quite know how to wear a navy blue blazer (with gold buttons!  It is a kind of a throwback and I love it!).  However, I’ve realized it pairs perfectly with everything from my Zara high waisted pants to my ripped boyfriend jeans.

Obviously, I didn’t follow that rule that you can old wear white after Labor when I work this white on white outfit to work.  On a side note, I firmly believe you can wear white year round if you pair it with the right pieces.  Some fashion rules are just meant to be broken!

What was the last “fashion rule” you broke?
