Happy Friday!  I hope you had a great week.  I’m laying pretty low this weekend, but I’m excited about going to an event my friends, Erica and Allie, have organized on Sunday.  It is a delicious brunch and blogger panel.  I love these types of events and meeting other bloggers!

Now that I’ve been in my new job for a few months, I’m starting to feel like I’ve mastered the new dress code.  While I definitely appreciated how easy it was to get dressed when I could wear ripped jeans and leggings to work (with a blazer), there is something really nice about dressing up for work.  I’ve always known that clothing can impact how you feel, but I really feel more confident and in charge in my new business casual outfits.

I know I’ve worn this black Express sleeveless jacket many times on the blog (here, here), but it is one of the staples in my closet.  When paired with a black t-shirt and this white J. Crew skirt, it makes an easy, effortless business casual outfit.  You can never go wrong with a black and white business casual outfit (or just black and white in general for that matter)!
